Advised, supported, and executed US Financial Diaries communications from its earliest stages as a research project throughout the book launch, including engaging funders such as Omidyar and Ford Foundation. The project resulted in hundreds of news articles, interviews, speaking slots, and, over time, changed policies and strategies at financial services institutions.

Led the communications for Aspen Institute and partners’ COVID-19 Evictions Projections, cultivating reporter engagement, and working with researchers to amplify the work. Our thought leadership resulted in hundreds of media pickups, millions of media impressions, and the CDC citing our work in its 2020 evictions moratorium.

Supported the strategy, development, and communications for the call to establish a national Financial Inclusion Commission at the Financial Security Program at the Aspen Institute.

Built communications campaigns and executed strategies to shift financial services industry language. Moving from “underbanked” to “financial health,” with key spokesperson Jennifer Tescher, we helped organizations adopt “financial health” as an outcomes-based end goal for people and their families.

With incredible researchers, leaders, and advocates at the Aspen Institute, I partnered to produce several research papers, the book The Future of Building Wealth in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and issue campaigns. We produced a new vision of wealth-building — equitable, comprehensive, and achievable for the financial services industry

Built communications and impact strategies for Aspen Institute’s Digital Equity Accelerator, an initiative working toward the digital inclusion of marginalized populations. I’ve also advise and support Filene’s Racial Economic Equity Incubator, and the early years of Financial Health Network’s Financial Solutions Lab.

Wrote, edited, and managed a designer to prepare the 2022 Annual Report for Community Housing Capital, a national CDFI working in affordable housing.

Created the marketing strategy, facilitate learning sessions, and guide the strategy with leaders at Filene Research Institute, USI, and Native Women Lead. The incubator includes a cohort of 8 credit unions and 12 community service organizations innovating to deliver resources, support and capital to communities of color.

Managed CFSI’s EMERGE for four years, including content, themes, attendance and registrations, marketing, programming, and internal and external logistics teams. Coached executives in 10-minute “Big Ideas” speeches and storytelling, such as Founder and CEO of Tio Networks, Hamad Shabazi. Coached and managed over 30 team members in content production and session design. Executed against ambitious diversity and inclusion goals for speaker representation.

Communicating “impact” through data and storytelling, I have designed multi-media anniversary campaigns, written impact reports, and gathered origin stories from founders, funders, leadership, and beneficiaries. Read some of my Impact Reports here.
